Dividend increase Omega Healthcare Investors

Dividend increase Omega Healthcare Investors

At the 13th of April the board of Omega Healthcare Investors decided to increase the quarterly dividend from $ 0,62 to $ 0,63 per quarter. This means an increase of $ 0,04 per share per year which translates to a 1,61% increase. The dividend is paid on May the 15th 2017 to shareholders of record on May the 1st 2017. This is the 19th consecutive increase in the quarterly dividend. This is an 8,62% increase compared to the dividend in the same quarter of last year!

The Pursuit

Since I have 39 shares this increase means that my yearly dividend for Omega Healthcare is now $ 98,28, up from $ 96,72 or a $ 1,56 increase in yearly dividends. After taxes I will receive $ 83,54 per year from the company.

This increase means Omega Healthcare currently yields 7,40% and my yield on cost rises to 8,63%.

Another quarterly increase from OHI! The increases are small, but I love that you get 4 a year from the company! This is my second quarterly increase since own the stock and the 19th consecutive quarterly increase of OHI. Predictable, a great growth rate and a great dividend!

I don’t see any reason the continuation of the dividend growth will stop in the near future, so I’m very bullish on OHI! Love the stock so long OHI!

  1. Increases individually are small but add them up yearly and they are better. Just started buying this in Jan and gonna buy again soon.

  2. Always happy to see an increase from OHI, and any of my holdings, for that matter. Anything above 7% year over year is great. Sure beats inflation in our neck of the woods!

    1. Exactly my thoughts! Do keep in mind that they increased one time with 2 cents during the last year. So we will have to see if we keep the 4 or 5 cent a year increase in the next years. But still, you’ve got to love OHI!
