Dividend increase Unilever
At the 19th of April the board of Unilever decided to increase the quarterly dividend from € 0,3585 to € 0,3872 per quarter. This means an increase of € 0,0287 per share per year which translates to a 8,01% increase. The dividend is paid on June the 6th 2018 to shareholders of record on May the 4th 2018.
Since I have 23 shares this increase means that my yearly dividend for Unilever is now € 35,62. Up from € 32,98 or a € 2,64 increase in yearly dividends. After taxes I will receive € 30,28 per year from the company.
This increase means Unilever currently yields 3,21% and my yield on cost rises to 4,01%.
Unilever is one of the few European stocks in my portfolio. It’s a great Dutch dividend stock and I love the average dividend growth of 8%. This year the increase is just at the average. Unilever is doing a lot to increase shareholder value lately. They also announced a nice share buyback program. I believe the company has a bright future. Slow but steady growth is what I expect.
