Dividend increase Proctor & Gamble
At the 10th of April the board of Proctor & Gamble decided to increase the quarterly dividend from $ 0,6896 to $ 0,7172 per quarter. This means an increase of $ 0,1104 per share per year which translates to a 4% increase. The dividend is paid on May the 15th 2018 to shareholders of record on April the 20th 2018. This is the 62nd consecutive yearly increase in the dividend.
Since I have 14 shares this increase means that my yearly dividend for Proctor & Gamble is now $ 40,16. Up from $ 38,62 or a $ 1,54 increase in yearly dividends. After taxes I will receive $ 34,14 per year from the company.
This increase means Proctor & Gamble currently yields 3,83% and my yield on cost rises to 3,72%.
The dividend increase of Proctor & Gamble is bigger this year than last year. Last year it was 3%, now it is 4%. It seems that the company is on the right track. I like that and I hope we get increases bigger than 5% in the near future.
