Dividend increase Muenchener Rueckver AG
At the 26th of April the board of Muenchener Rueckver AG (MUV2) decided to increase the yearly dividend from EUR 8,25 to EUR 8,60 per year. This means an increase of EUR 0,35 per share per year which translates to a 4,2% increase. The dividend is paid on May the 1st 2017 to shareholders of record on April the 10th 2017. This is the 6th consecutive year in which RY increases the quarterly dividend. Much more impressive, the company never ever reduced its dividend and it’s paying a dividend for a very long time!
Since I have 6 shares this increase means that my yearly dividend for Muenchener Rueckver AG is now € 51,60. Up from € 49,50 or a € 2,10 increase in yearly dividends. After taxes I will receive € 38,70 per year from the company.
This increase means Muenchener Rueckver AG currently yields 4,88% and my yield on cost rises to 5,10%.
Muenchener Rueckver AG is a great German Reinsurance company that pays dividends for a long time. In the history, the company never lowered the dividend although they keep it at the same level in bad times. It is a great European dividend stock with a nice dividend growth rate. The only disadvantage I see is that they only pay once a year, but this is just a small disadvantage.
